Re: Coffee with Maya
Posted onApril 22, 2009
I met with Maya today. She mentioned that she saw our website and was very impressed. I filled her in on all the latest developments on the show. We came up with some collaborative ideas.
- Make link to Maya’s program “Raisin’ the standard” on our website.
- Maya replay segments from our show on hers- different audience Sun midnight til 4am Monday.
- Maya submit MP3 file segments under 10 mins for LRC. Send them to Vanessa and Nina –
- Maya is currently in negotiations with KPFA re : sexual harassment law suit. So she’s only comfortable at the station when there is no one around- as advised I think also by the lawyer.
- BTW: re: website Daniel’s foto probably belongs in a different section than collective members. Contributors- like Diana Martinez, Rafael etc. Also we should credit Adrian Arias for website banner.

I am including it below. Plz tell me what you think. I sent a similar one for the KPFA website and cc’d you. But this version is an improvement on that one.
I am meeting for coffee this morning w/ Maya Orozco, who was a major contributor to LRC and currently does a weekly late nite show “Raisin’ the Standard” on Sunday nite/Monday morning.————————————————————————————————————————————————–4/21/09It is Earth Day! promo for last night
Posted onApril 22, 2009Ctone: Can we change the promo 4/21/09 it for the website without mailing it out…so we don’t overwhelm subscribers with email. I took out the cumbre and JR and added Daniel – so it reflects the actual content. I am also asking the same of the KPFA website. It should read:
