Tonight, on RADIO CUBA CANTA we commemorate the 75th anniversary of the monster sessions of June 1937 when in Havana, Cuba a virtual “who’s-who” of cuban musicians were recorded by the RCA Victor label: Miguelito Valdes, Paulina Alvarez, Compay Segundo, Cheo Belen Puig, Belisario Lopez, Septeto Nacional, Orquesta Casino de la Playa, Sexteto Anacaona, Los Maravillas del Siglo (Cachao‘s first group with whom he made records) and many more, gathered in front of the RCA microphones and were preserved in wax.

Tonight we will hear the fruits of these sessions, 75 years after they were cut and released.
