Kathleen Vickery speaks to Julieta Kusnir about the feminist movement in America Latina and organizations working to promote women’s rights, including media by, for and about women. Julieta Kusnir also interviews Janette Alvarez on the Bay Area based organization, Somos Familia, offering support and community for Latino families of LGBT Youth.
Nina Serrano discusses Women’s Day with Mamacoatl who premieres her new song, “The Golden Cage.” Indigenous artist Cathrine Herrera discusses her exhibit “Bridgewalkers” at the de Young Museum’s, free Friday evening programs as part of the Olmec exhibit.
