Tuesdays at 7:00pm, Cronicas De La Raza comes to you con entrevistas, cultura y musica de la comunidad sin fronteras.

Art of the week: Photo: Indigenous Latin American women resist!

  • Todays program features the resistance and fight-back to anti-immigrant and anti -education policies. We highlight:
Voices of Resistance: The voices of the marchers and protesters at the Oakland CA. May Day March for Dignity and Justice 2012.
Precious Knowledge: We offer this amazing and beautiful documentary film on DVD as a thank you gift for donating to KPFA. You will hear excerpts from this excitng and meticulously produced soundtrack.  Casting aside the inflammatory rhetoric and national headlines of the anti-ethnic-studies instigators, Precious Knowledge provides a clear-eyed portrait of students, teachers and their community struggling to deal with the nation’s most unnerving campus witch hunt in recent memory. Tracing the political roots of the legislative ban — and the program’s own mandate and success to alleviate the long-time achievement gaps among Latino students — Precious Knowledge‘s riveting pacing and compelling portraits will astonish, infuriate and inspire viewers.
    Listen and enjoy!
We look forward to receiving your support online. It’s never too late! <>
