Posted onJuly 30, 2012Tonight, veteran broadcaster SF Bay Area Emiliano Echevearria hosts his 20th Anniversary tribute to Arsenio Rodriguez. For this year’s broadcast, Emiliano will be featuring interviews he’s been gathering with fellow ‘Arseniologists’ and educators. Including: David Garcia, Rene Lopez, Avotcja, Bobby Sanabria, Arturo Gomez and Walfredo de los Reyes along with a few other treats and surprises, exploring the development of his music and it’s continued influences on Salsa, Timba, Jazz and other branches of the afro-latin musical diaspora. These interviews are part of an on-going series and project Emiliano has begun producing this year, with more interviews on the way. The live broadcast begins tonight, Saturday evening, December 29th from 7-11pm on KPFA radio, 94.1FM, in the SF Bay, and on the web at KPFA.org.

And of course we bring you great music in between, featuring the music of local band Orquestra la Moderna Tradicion and Los Cojolites.
